Full Description: Said Salah Ahmed was born in Somalia. He is an established poet, storyteller, playwright, filmmaker, and writer. A lifetime educator, he is currently a bilingual teacher and resides with his family in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is the author of "The Lion’s Share/Qayb Libaax," and translator of "The Travels of Igal Shidad/Safarada Cigaal Shidaad." In 2006, the Minnesota Humanities Center in collaboration with the Minnesota Somali community launched the Somali Bilingual Book Project. Watch as Somali folktales are transformed into visual experiences as the books are read aloud accompanied by the original artwork. Books are read in English as well as Somali.
